Regarding the employment of a manservant, who must be between 22 and 45 years of age, unmarried and 'blest with a good temper'; Angerstein refers to himself as 'an old infirm man'. On the reverse is a reply by Uwins recommending a man who is highly reliable and respectable.
According to a letter from Mrs Boucherett to Sir Thomas Lawrence, 23 Jan 1823, Angerstein's servant was among those present at his death.
