Description
Informing Mary Ford that he has kept hardly any of Mrs Lewes' [Marian E. Lewes, i.e. George Eliot] letters, and those in his possession cannot with propriety be given away. He does not doubt he will receive a note from her in due course which we will present to Ford. [Two letters of George Eliot, neither of them addressed to Leighton, were lots 25 & 26 in the sale of Mary Ford's autograph collection.]
Includes a printed article, [1864], and poet's tribute, [Oct 1871] to Frederic Leighton
