Letter (24 Mar 1884) from Briton Rivière to [Sir William] Agnew thanking him for a letter regarding a sale of works, including 'Daniel [in the Lion's Den]' by Rivière and for the work of Agnew and his two sons on the artist's behalf. Rivière outlines his dislike of sales and general publicity, the potential price for 'Actaeon,' the merits of his different images of lions and tigers and his relationship with [Joseph] Duveen, who he believes "I have sadly swindled...with the tiger picture." Rivière also requests that 'Roman Holiday' be sent to him for re-working.
