A collection of eleven letters, documents and photographs related to the identification of 'Dead Christ' ['The Man of Sorrows in the arms of the Virgin'] by Hans Memling, in envelope marked "Papers re Memling."
The envelope contains:
Typed extracts of 3 letters, (5 pages) in English, from, Max Friedlander to Théodore Grivau, Max Friedlaender to Colin Agnew and Hulin de Loo to Colin Agnew, accompanying a sepia photograph of a painting of the dead Christ and additional sheet identifying figures in the painting.
