Informing Boxall that Barker's collection will be put up for sale in the near future and recommending that Boxall check to see if any are desirable additions to the National Gallery as he is concerned that if they go to auction they will all be purchased by Americans; also expresses his regret at hearing of Baring's death but is disappointed that he didn't leave any works to the nation.
