Memorandum submitted by G. H. A. Cantopher containing research into the provenance of the Reynolds's portrait of Philippe Égalité. Cantopher suggests that a painting currently in his possession could possibly be the original portrait by Reynolds or a contemporary copy by Sir Thomas Lawrence. Memo includes attachment of three photographs of Cantopher's painting and two addendums containing further details about the history of the painting and updated evidence. There are some annotations in pen by Harold Isherwood Kay.
