Sending letters received during Burton's absence, including one from Mr and Mrs Howard about pictures on offer in Florence and Venice, Queen of Sheba; Reporting to Burton about the day-to-day business at the Gallery: Morelli not at the Gallery at present; plan to take photographs of Hamilton pictures; Incredulity of St. Thomas has been taken down for conservation work, work of Dyer and Bentley has been delayed by dark and weather; screens in the long gallery were shifted to avoid immediate contact with hot air from gratings. Encloses letter by de Gosmernel [see NG6/8/367]
