Informing the correspondent that a we are advised of the dispatch of a packing-
case from Antwerp on 21 May containing a picture consigned by Messers Kennedy
and Hunter to the National Gallery, enclosing a bill of lading and requesting
that on the arrival of the Steam ship 'Hawk' in the Port of London, the packing
case may be brought to the Gallery unopened in charge of a Custom House Officer
and examined here, in accordance with the sanction approved by H.M. Treasury.
