Description
The Gallery is unable to accept Bentley's kind offer of a loan. The Gallery already possesses a substantial number of Turner pictures, but if Bentley felt inclined to lend his pictures to the South Kensington Museum instead of the National Gallery it would benefit the students at that establishment.
