Responding to a circular from the War Office regarding prospective
employment of Retired Officers, explaining that Attendant roles are
usually filled by H.M. Treasury with ex-army men at the request of the
N.G. Board, and that ex-soldiers would be ineligible for Clerk positions
due to the necessity of special qualifications.
