Description
Informing him that a slight crack has appeared in the picture by
Rembrandt (NG45) and stating that orders have been given for it to be
taken down and placed in the room which he uses at the Gallery and
requesting that he examine it tomorrow morning and let Mr Eastlake know
what can be done to prevent the damage going further.
