Description
Informing them that the picture by Jan Steen which they sent to the
Gallery on Thursday last was submitted to the Board and stating that
after consideration the Director and Trustees are unable to entertain
their offer and mentioning that he would have written earlier but was
under the impression the decision of the Board had been communicated to
them personally by Mr Poynter.
