Description
Informing him that Mr Eastlake has no recollection of the picture,
mentioned in his letter of the 19th, being offered for purchase here and
stating that all offers communicated by letter are entered in a
'Register' and requesting that he supply the name of the person who made
the alleged offer and the year and suggesting that there are local
experts at Zurich who could advise on the commercial value of the
picture.
