Referencing their letter of the 10th May which conveyed a request from
the Provisional Council of the National Trust that the Trustees appoint
two members to serve on their council from the 9th May, and informing
them that the Right Hon. The Earl of Carlisle and Mr Edward J. Poynter
R.A. were nominated for that purpose at a Meeting of the Board held
yesterday.
