Description
Stating that Mr. Ambrose has forwarded the correspondents wish for the
boys who sell cheap catalogues of pictures at the Gallery entrance gates
to be allowed to stand under the portico in inclement weather. He informs
him that it was the desire of a previous director that they not be
allowed to but that if the Trustees desire so it can be changed. He adds
however, that the boys are in no worse condition than those who stand
outside the Royal Academy and that sales of official catalogues have gone
down since they have taken up their positions.
