Informing him that the picture he refers to, a copy of 'The Fall of the Damned' by Rubens, has for many years been in one of the studios of the Gallery and that it was not until Sir Theodore Hope made an enquiry that they knew who it belonged to or how it came to the Gallery and informing him that the picture will be delivered to the royal Academy as soon as it is sent for.
