Explaining that the loan of Pictures & Drawings made to the institutions he refers to in his letter are not for the purpose of temporary exhibitions and explaining that, of the four Loan Collections of Turner's Drawings & Sketches which are leant for a period of twelve months, only one at present is at the National Gallery and has already been promised to another Gallery.
