Informing him that he is well aquainted with the portrait of 'Mrs Charles H. Bellenden Ker' by Sir Charles Lock Eastlake and with the fact the Lady Eastlake was allowed to obtain it during her lifetime and explaining that it was her wish that it should be handed over to the National Gallery at the time of her death.
