Description
From Hotel du Louvre, Paris: There are two pictures by Guido. One bought by Nieuwenhuys was sold to Scarisbrick and apparently had an inscription on the back before it was lined. Mr Farrer speaks of a replica. Eastlake wants confirmation about the inscription from Nieuwenhuys and from Mr Christie that the picture he is to auction is the same one. Eastlake is only interested in the original. Not acquired.
