Description
From St Gall, Switzerland: In August 1862, Eastlake sent Mündler to St Gall to see a reputed Raphael, which he reported was a copy. Eastlake thinks the landscape of the Brera Giovanni Bellini is similar to NG726. He comments on the Morelli notes on Bramantino. He returned to the Frizzoni Gallery and saw a Giovanni da Udine but did not make an offer. Lady Eastlake was complimentary about the Gallery.
