Three letters from Moritz Ponfick to Hawes Harrison Turner offering for sale a picture of 'Mars and Venus surprised by Pluto,' left in the inheritance of the late Mr Charles Ponfick in Kassel, Germany. One letter is addressed to G. E. Ambrose, offering to send a photograph of the picture.The offer was subsequently declined due to lack of funds and the photograph returned.
