Description
One letter from S. B[illegible] to Charles Locke Eastlake infoming him he has suggested to his friend, Mr Turner, to contact sir Frederick Burton regarding a painting by Giotto he has in his posession. A subsequent letter from William G. Turner to Sir Frederick Burton offering for sale a painting of the 'Madonna and Child' by Giotto for £800. He encloses a photograph and copies of documents. The offer was declined.
