One letter from Frewen Lord to Mr Heseltine regarding the sale of a portrait of 'Marsilio Ficino' by Domensico Ghirlandaio on behalf of a friend in Italy. A subsequent letter to Charles Lock Eastlake offering the picture for £10,000. Includes a receipt for the painting after it was sent to the Gallery for inspection. The offer was declined.
