Letter from Edward Hamilton Bell to [Charles Locke] Eastlake asking for his opinion on the authenticity of a portrait by Velasquez belonging to a Miss Light, which he had seen and admired in Florence. The picture, which had been purchased by Miss Light's mother at the Brignole-Sale sale in Genoa in 1828, was now in London at Donaldson's 106 New Bond Street. He had also sought the opinions of Sir Frederic Burton and Fairfax Murray
