Letter from Gilbert Redgrave to the Director of the National Gallery enclosing a copy of a letter from Dr Maximo Hertling to the Board of Education, together with a copy of the Board's reply, in which Hertling offers for sale, on behalf of a private owner, four pictures: 'The Disrobing of Christ on Calvary' [?Mayer 80] by El Greco, a portrait of a Granadine noble by Murillo, and two pictures representing scenes of Holy Scripture by Michel Angelo and Raphael
