Saint Cecilia is associated with music because of an episode from her legend.
Her parents insisted on her marrying a pagan, Valerian of Trastevere, although Cecilia had promised her virginity to God.
At her wedding Cecilia sang a hymn of love in her heart to Jesus, her true spouse.
