St Zenobius

Zenobius was a Christian convert who died in about 417. He was bishop of Florence and became one of the city's patron saints. His bones were later transferred to the bronze reliquary made for them by Ghiberti.

A number of miracles are associated with him, in particular miracles of healing. These include restoring to life a child who had been run over by a cart (see the panels depicting the life of the saint by Botticelli in the Collection, 'Four Scenes from the Early Life of Saint Zenobius' and 'Three Miracles of Saint Zenobius').
