In the closing week of ‘José María Velasco: A View of Mexico’, visit the exhibition one last time.
One of the great 19th-century landscape painters, Velasco painted sweeping scenes of the Valley of Mexico, home of the modern-day Mexico City. 'José María Velasco: A View of Mexico’ celebrates Velasco’s impressive panoramic views and his attention to detail as he captured the changes of a rapidly modernising world.
James Payne, founder of the popular online art history channel, Great Art Explained, leads this reflective session. He will share insights from his José Maria Velasco episode and explore the impact and legacy of this talented artist.
In this online Members’ event and Q&A, hear James' reflections about this exhibition and share your own.
