About

In the closing week of ‘José María Velasco: A View of Mexico’, visit the exhibition one last time.

One of the great 19th-century landscape painters, Velasco painted sweeping scenes of the Valley of Mexico, home of modern-day Mexico City. 'José María Velasco: A View of Mexico’ celebrates Velasco’s impressive panoramic views and his attention to detail as he captured the changes of a rapidly modernising world. James Payne of Great Art Explained leads this reflective session that explores the impact and legacy of José María Velasco.

In this online Members’ event and Q&A, hear James's reflections about this exhibition and share your own.
