About
Delve into the contrasts of light and dark through an imaginative family art workshop. Join artist Joanna Connybeare as she blends the wonders of science with the expressive possibilities of art.
This workshop and all family activities this half-term are inspired by the exhibition Wright of Derby: From the Shadows. We encourage you to experiment, create and discover together in a fun, hands-on environment.
Your Artist
Joanna Conybeare is an artist and Gallery Educator who has worked in Primary and Secondary schools in London and the south coast as a teacher and subject lead for Art and Design. In her own artistic practice, she uses clay, porcelain and terracotta to explore the figure, enjoying the immediacy of the material that enables her to ‘draw’ three-dimensionally.
