Wartime Storage: Location Inventories
File containing manuscript and typescript inventories (some with annotations) recording the location of individual National Gallery pictures at different dates during the war. The inventories appear to have been used as checklists and record the despatch and arrival of the pictures at different Welsh locations.
Includes inventories of pictures at: National Library, Aberystwyth; Avening; Pritchard Jones Hall, Bangor; Bontnewydd; Caernarvon Castle; Crosswood; Manod Quarry and Penryn Castle, and 'old quarrys'.
