Letter (24 May 1899) from Briton Rivière to Sir William Agnew, regarding a subscription to an artist's fund for [ ] to enable a gift of his work to the nation. Rivière also refers to the "unostentatious generosity of our friend Mr Tate," and states that he has seen Agnew's son George.
