Letter (6 May 1930) from Frank Houston to Hugh Ladas (Tim) Agnew written from the New York office of the firm of Agnew's. Houston discusses difficult trading conditions in America since "the cursed stock market has been behaving in a scandalous manner again," his attempts to sell a painting by Raeburn to a Mr Pyne, a Fra Angelico "for Warburg" and his plans to sail to London later the same month.
