Description

A volume of "Holiday Jottings" written by Sir William Agnew, and published for private circulatrion by Bradbury, Agnew & Co (Printers, Whitefriars) at the request of William's daugher Mary Caroline Ogilvie née Agnew. The "jottings" were made during his and his wife's travels through European cities, and references to the paintings they visited are made throughout.

This volume also contains annotations by [Charles Morland], presumably on his own trip travelling around Europe, looking for the paintings noted in the jottings and sometimes disagreeing with his father's opinions. Another (unmarked) copy can be found at NGA27/27/2.
