Description
A volume containing the monthly wages of employees in Agnew's Manchester, London and Liverpool branches, between Dec 1885-Jun 1896. Employees are listed according to their assigned category (often dependent on the branch they were based in, or whether they were receiving a pension), and the number of categories fluctuated over time. Where no catagory heading is given, it is assumed that these employees worked in the Manchester branch. The categories in this volume include:
- Liverpool
- London
In addition there are separate entries every three months for Mrs G.W. Agnew, namely "Housekeeping" and "Private". This later changes to a list of Agnew family members who are paid (Mrs Agnew, W.L. Agnew, Mrs G.W. Agnew, Mrs Fanny Agnew). Finally, a list of Quarterly Cheques can be found at the end of the volume.
