An invitation to admit Joynson Esq. & friends to a private view of Thos. Agnew & Sons' exhibition from 9-23 Jul [1850s] at their Exchange Street address in Manchester. The picture exhibited was Sir Walter Scott & his Literary Friends at Abbotsford, by Thomas Faed, and the back of the invitation is illustrated with a sketch of the painting and the names of the sitters.
