Trade Ledger (T.L.)

A volume of indexed accounts between 1887-1898. Accounts tend to have been transferred from Ledger L2 (NGA27/14/12/4) and County Accounts Ledger 1 (NGA27/14/12/5), which refer to this volume as T.L. It is assumed (although this has not been verified) that T.L. stands for Trade Ledger, and there may be a link with the Trade (F) Ledger series (at NGA27/14/7). Accounts may subsequently have been transferred to some or all of the following ledgers:

NGA27/14/1/1: Manchester Ledger G1
NGA27/14/1/2: Manchester Sundries Ledger E1
NGA27/14/2/4: London Ledger 4
NGA27/14/8/1: Ledger S1

Note: many of the accounts within this volume have Ma/c or Manchester account pencilled at the end.
