Copy record of a letter from Charles Gerald Agnew to Thomas Gair Ashton, 1st Baron Ashton of Hyde regarding the potential sale of Lord Ashton's copy of Salisbury Cathedral by John Constable. Lord Ashton has stated a desired price for the work that Agnew feels cannot be achieved. Agnew states that the work is Constable's most important work and should be in the National Gallery.
