Description
A volume containing the stock numbers of pictures purchased by Agnew's (1909-1919), and the numbers of unsold stock transferred from preceding volume(s) (1899-1909):
- Transferred Stock numbers: 8933-2918
- New Stock numbers: 2919-5437
There is also an envelope stuck to the back cover containing a number of handwritten and typed letters. They record additional details about pictures with stock numbers 2309 (Reynolds), 5295 (Gainsborough), 3888 (Rembrandt), and 4638 (Raeburn). In addition, there is a note concerning a portrait by John Opie, and a photocopy of a letter written by Sir Henry Raeburn confirming payment for framing from Charles Gordon of Cairness.
