Black covered diary begun when Gould lived at 6 Palace Gate, London and finished when he was living at Jubilee House, Thorncombe, Somerset. It recounts the death of his mother, the exposure of Anthony Blunt, and travel to Israel, America, Japan, Hong Kong, China and India with drawings and plans of buildings. Also includes notes on the Raphael book and Giorgione article and a letter to the Burlington magazine in the back
