Description
Relating to the poor condition of the pictures bequeathed to the nation by JMW Turner and the necessity of employing someone intimately acquainted with Turner's methods of painting in order to restore them. He believes Turner applied to Mr John Seguier to undertake the restoration work during his lifetime but was alarmed at the price Seguier quoted.
