Asking her to convey a message to Miss de Crespigny that in regards to the picture she sent to the Gallery for inspection, the only picture that he would recommend to the Board for purchase would be the one attributed to Delacroix, but the value of the picture stated by Miss de Crespigny, makes it impossible to enter into negotiations for its purchase.
