Clarke says that he is sorry to hear of the correspondent's recent illness, and explains that the Gallery opened the day before. The correspondent is welcome to visit whenever she feels fit, but if she would like a particular place reserved she will need to contact the Gallery in advance so that a space by the relevant picture can be assured.
