Letter to Edward Smith

Accepting sixteen pictures by Robert Smirke RA, presented by Captain and Mrs Lambert.

These works were originally accessioned as NG761-765 with NG761 comprising 12 pieces [see Annual Report, 1867]. However upon transfer to the Tate they were inventoried separately, as A00852-A00863. NG764 [N00764 following transfer] was lost in the Millbank Flood, 1928.
