Forwarding a copy of note received from Mr C.J. Maude of the Treasury. The note describes what Mr Johnston MP will ask in the House of Commons in regards to ‘cartoons’ attributed to Raphael on exhibition in Cockspur St. Johnston plans to ask the Lord of the Treasury if he is aware of the ‘Seven Cartoons’ being exhibited, whether the Cartoons discovered in Russia have been examined for authenticity and if genuine will he consider purchasing them for the British Nation
