Enclosing an estimate of the receipts and expenditure for the Gallery for the year 1885-1886 together with a memorandum explaining the variations from the previous years estimates. Adding that in reply to Mr Barrington's letter, £50 was provided under subhead 3 to cover the Director's expenses when travelling abroad on official business; £300 is the balance due from the Wheeer Bequest; and should the sum be insufficient to cover the glazing of pictures additional fund may be granted. The estimate is also included.
