Enclosing a letter by Fred Davis concerning the potential acquisition of 'The Ansidei Madonna' by Raphael and the Equestrian Portrait of Charles I by van Dyck from the Blenheim Collection, and the extra grant which would be needed to purchase the pictures along with the Garden of the Hesperides by Rubens, which will otherwise be lost to the Nation.
