From Hotel de la Ville, Milan [in Lady Eastlake's hand]: A letter to be submitted to the trustees is enclosed. The Mocenigo Carpaccio (NG750) has been bought with the assistance of Mr Perry, the Consul in Venice. The Austrian Government is to decide whether to exercise the right of pre-emption. Eastlake gives a reference for the Gerolamo dai Libri (NG748).
