Description
Copy of a letter from Auberlen offering a list of paintings to the National Gallery. The list of pictures is enclosed and includes works by Rafaello, Brouwer, Wouvermans, van Dyck, van de Velde, van Ostade, Zuccarelli, Douw, de Laar, Poelemberg and one work from the Venetian School. Also included is a description of The Battle of Blenhem (sic) by Rugendas, which was also offered.
The offer was declined on 3 July.
