Description

The plaster relief by Wyon of "'Colour' and 'Form' represented by two fat boys...one holds a palette and the other a board on which the long-exploited 'line of beauty' is shown; and between them is the head of Queen Victoria in profile" (The Builder, 29 Jul 1876). Photograph perhaps taken in Nov 1936, when Rooms IV, VIII, XI and XVI were closed for redecoration (Board Minutes, Nov 1936). Photograph: National Gallery. Neg. M340.
