Correspondence with the NACF re their purchase of a Niccolo dell'Abate landscape to present to the Gallery, Francis Cook's decision to present his Titian [Portrait of a Lady ('La Schiavona')] through the Fund in memory of his father Herbert Cook and the NACF's contribution towards the purchase of the Giovanni di Paolo panels.
Also discussed are annual grants from the NACF for acquisitions during the war period and the attribution of the Cook picture to Titian or Giorgione. The file also includes a description of Hogarth's 'Staymaker' [purchased with the assistance of the Fund]
